Slow news day.

I was on the plaza I front of the cathedral yesterday when a woman approached, said she was with a newspaper and could she ask me a couple of questions. Sure, not a problem. She looked like a high school student doing a marketing survey so I humored her, let her take my picture and didn’t give it another thought.

Then tonight I was out having one final evening stroll in Santiago when someone shoved a newspaper in my face.

There I am in the paper, smiling for the reporter in all my banged up glory. The title of the article is : “Fainting on the road: the sun in Galicia beats California.” What follows is a semi-true story about me, fainting and the Camino.
The next time you want a little attention just do a face plant. Then go out in public.
